What Mapsly collects, why, and the choices you have.

Effective June 10, 2026

1. Who we are

Mapsly is a local business intelligence service. We watch the public footprint of local businesses — reviews, search results, ads, websites — and turn it into a clear picture an owner can act on. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Questions about anything here? Email support@mapsly.ai. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.

2. What we collect when you visit

If you browse mapsly.ai or open a page we made for your business, we collect a small amount of visitor data:

  • Basic analytics — which pages and sections you view, and which buttons you click.
  • A random visitor id stored in your browser, so we can count unique visitors. It is not linked to your name or email.
  • A salted hash of your IP address, used to filter bots and abuse. We never store the raw IP.
  • Cookies needed for sign-in and language. The Cookies policy lists every one.

3. What we collect about businesses

Mapsly's picture of a local market is built from public sources only:

  • Google Business listings — name, address, hours, photos, ratings, and reviews.
  • Ad libraries — the public records of ads a business runs on Meta and Google.
  • Public websites — the speed, content, and search visibility of pages anyone can open.

This is information anyone could look up — we organize it. If we made a page about your business and you want it gone, use the remove link on that page or email support@mapsly.ai. We take the page down and stop emailing you.

4. What we collect when you have an account

  • Account basics — your name, email address, and language preference.
  • Your business profile — the listing you claimed and the public data we refresh for it.
  • Payment details — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, only a token, the last 4 digits, and the billing country.
  • Product usage — which features you use, in aggregate, so we can improve them.

5. What we do — and don't

We use this data to run the service: show your dashboard, refresh your business data, sign you in, charge your subscription, and send the emails you'd expect — your weekly check-in, receipts, security notices.

  • We do not sell or rent personal data. To anyone.
  • We do not collect patient or health information. Mapsly works with public business facts, never customer or patient records.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.
  • Mapsly is not for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

6. Service providers

A small set of vendors helps us run Mapsly, each seeing only what its job needs: Stripe (payments), Resend and Zoho (email), DataForSEO (public business data), Anthropic (AI drafting), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel and Neon (hosting and database).

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, we honor these requests:

  • Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
  • Deletion — close your account and have your personal data deleted.
  • Removal — have the page we made about your business taken down, via its remove link or by email.
  • Unsubscribe — every email we send has a one-click way out.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

Email support@mapsly.ai from the address on your account. We may need to verify it's you before acting.

8. How long we keep things

Account data lives as long as your account does. When you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days — billing records stay as long as tax rules require. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Visitor analytics survive only as anonymous aggregates.

9. Where your data lives

Mapsly is operated from Alberta, Canada. Our servers and service providers process data in the United States. Everything travels and rests encrypted, and access inside Mapsly follows least privilege.

10. Changes and contact

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes get an email to active accounts 30 days ahead. For anything privacy-related:
